Who’s Invited: All members of MVRA are invited to this special fall social event for an evening of great food and fun with your neighbors.  This is an opportunity for us to meet our neighbors in a more personal way and to welcome our newest residents.

How It Works:

  • “Social” house (6:30 – 7:45) : One house to host all guests for cocktail hour. This host will make their home available for 40 to 60 people and provide an appetizer for 12 to 15 people; other guests will be assigned to bring additional appetizers. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and paper products will be supplied by the committee.
  • “Dinner” house (7:45 – 9:30) We will need multiple dinner houses; these hosts will have 8-10 people for dinner including themselves and prepare the meal. This year, back by popular demand, we will be serving crock pot brisket. All ingredients will be delivered to your home. Hosts supply a starch side dish (i.e. potato, rice) to serve.
  • “Dessert” house (9:30 – 11:00) One house to invite all guests back to for drinks and dessert after dinner. This host will have 40 to 60 people at their home and need to supply dessert for 10 to 12 people; other guests will be assigned to bring additional desserts. Drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and paper products will be supplied by the committee.

All other guests not hosting will be asked to sign up for one of the following:

  • Appetizer & Bottle of Wine – Enough for 10-15 people (wine to be served at your dinner house)
  • Salad & Bread/Rolls – Enough for 10 people
  • Dessert & Bottle of Wine – Enough for 10-15 people (wine to be served at your dinner house)

PLEASE respond by November 3rd.  ONLINE by signing up for a needed slot (see link under picture).

There is quite a bit of planning and arranging that goes into an event involving this many people and we try to have as much of it completed a day or two after the RSVP date.  Once the housing assignments have been made we will only be able to accommodate late RSVPs if there is still room available.

We hope you will make a special effort to attend the 20th annual progressive dinner for Mountain View!  If you have any further questions or can serve as a host home, please contact Diane Keener.   If you have any trouble with the website, please call Josh Curtis.
